US President Donald Trump commented on the decision of a rapper Kanye West to nominate his candidacy for the post of President. According to the current American leader, West will support him in the election.

The American President called the rapper a good guy and once again stressed that in the end, West will definitely support him. The head of the White House noted that the artist has already missed the deadline to register as a candidate in some states, and he will have to somehow solve this problem.

Kanye West has previously repeatedly expressed support for Trump and the Republican Party, and Kim Kardashian was received by Trump at the White House, where she asked for clemency for a number of prisoners.

On July 8th, Kanye West announced that he would run for the Republican nomination if the party was not already represented by Trump.

Earlier, USA Today noted that the musician may not have time to collect and register the necessary signatures of voters, as in some states, the registration of candidates ended on June 25th.
