The main naval parade was held in Saint Petersburg. All national channels of the Russian Federation broadcast from the scene of the events. President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, praised the celebrations and said that the idea of the parade was well thought out.

The head of state addressed the Navy, briefly spoke with officers on the podium, shook their hands and thanked them for their service. After that, while passing warships on his boat, Putin managed to talk with the commander-in-chief of the Navy, Nikolai Evmenov. The President said that he was interested in the theme of marine parades and studied the history of such events before the October Revolution. Later, in Kronstadt, he met Evmenov and the Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

The main naval parade in St. Petersburg and Kronstadt was attended by 46 ships and more than 4,000 military personnel. Access to the city was restricted due to the difficult epidemiological situation in Russia.
