Non-affiliated deputy of the Rada Andriy Derkach at a press conference released audio recordings of telephone conversations in which former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, former US Vice President Joseph Biden and former Secretary of State John Kerry discuss issues of internal policy of Ukraine. The conversations took place at the end of 2015 and in 2016.

According to A. Derkach, the conversation raised the issue of the American side providing “$1 billion in exchange for preserving the schemes of the Burisma Holdings", which is associated with Hunter Biden, the son of then the Vice President Joseph Biden. According to Derkach, the mentioned bribe was geared towards obtaining military state orders by enterprises associated with P. Poroshenko.

On one of the recordings of a conversation between Poroshenko and Kerry, allegedly dated December 3, 2015, an American official calls on the Ukrainian President to dismiss Viktor Shokin, who was then the country's Attorney General.

Vice President Biden on the tape advises to speed up the nationalization of PrivatBank, before the post of the US President is taken by Donald Trump. In addition to reforming state-owned enterprises, Poroshenko also reports on increasing tariffs for the population of Ukraine.

The Deputy submitted an application to the Prosecutor General's office of Ukraine. A case of treason and abuse of power has been initiated against Poroshenko.
