The head of the United Federation of Oil Industry employees in Venezuela pays special attention to the gas production crisis.
Rufus Girot claimed that the production of gas in local zones has decreased significantly. It can be a step to the shutdown of the PDVSA gas-providing campaign. The demand of the gas production is about 50000 c/m per day. The national company produces only 22000 c/m per day. The journalists of the famous Venezuelan newspaper El Universal say that the staff of the company faces greater threats of possible fatal consequences for those, working at the gas deposits.
Girot explained that the company cannot fulfill the demand of the citizens. Therefore, the import of the gas from Trinidad and Tobago is necessary. It costs a lot, though.
Some experts say that Venezuela can suffer from a shortage of gas.
