PlayStation 5: Sony revealed the wow launch strategy for its game console

The retail price for PlayStation 5 console begins from $400. The first sales are scheduled for November 12. This is stated in the Sony Twitter account dedicated to the console.

The price for the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition (without a disk drive) will be $399 or €399. PlayStation 5 basic version is priced at $499 or €499.

The new-generation of the console will go on sale from November 12 in the following countries: USA, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. In the rest of the world, the PlayStation 5 will start selling a week later - from November 19.

Sony first revealed the PlayStation 5 in early June. The console’s technical specifications are as follows: AMD Zen 2 OCTA-core 3.5 GHz processor;

AMD RDNA 2 10.28 teraflops video card with variable frequency up to 2.23 GHz;

16 GB of GDDR6 RAM;

825 GB of NVME SSD memory at speeds from 5.5 to 9 GB/s;

Drive for 4K UHD Blu-Ray discs up to 100 GB/s.

Separately from the console, new gamepads, a charging station, headphones, a PS5 remote control and a webcam for syncing the game console with devices will be sold first.

Sony also presented several games that will be released only on the PS5. Among them are “Spider-Man: Miles Morales”, Gran Turismo 7, Horizon: the Forbidden West, GhostWire: Toky.

Almost simultaneously with the release of the new gaming platform from Sony, the console of one of the company’s main competitors, Microsoft, will be available for public sale.

A September announcement says that the new Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S game consoles will be available on November 10. Pre-order for them starts the week after, September 22.
