Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus intercepted a conversation in Berlin discussing that Angela Merkel's statements about Navalny's poisoning were falsified. This is reported by Russian RIA Novosti and TASS news agency.

According to Lukashenko, Belarus intercepted conversations between Warsaw and Berlin. He gave the recording to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, when they met in Minsk.

In his conversation with the Russian PM Lukashenko said: “So, I have to tell you that yesterday or the day before yesterday, I don't remember exactly, before Merkel's speech, we intercepted a conversation. We understand that Warsaw is talking to Berlin. Two people are talking. Intercepted by our electronic military intelligence. Because there are units deployed there [on the Western borders of Belarus], and we, of course, are also fighting with NATO in the radio-space. And we intercepted an interesting conversation that clearly indicates that this is a fraud. There was no poisoning of Navalny."

Lukashenko also warned Mishustin that the West is preparing "dirty tricks" for the Russian Federation before the regional elections in the country.

Navalny became ill on the morning of August 20th during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow. The plane urgently landed in Omsk, where the politician was hospitalized in serious condition and connected to a ventilator.

On August 22nd, Navalny was transferred to a German clinic, which issued a statement that the opposition leader was poisoned with a substance of the Novichok group. Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, responding to the question said that the Kremlin does not understand the rush to voice the version of Navalny’s poisoning.

On September 2, German military toxicologists said that they found traces of Novichok poison in Navalny's body.
