We will have to say goodbye to the current interface in March

Google announced that it will soon abandon the classic interface of the desktop web version of the YouTube video service.

Compulsory user switching to the new YouTube design will begin in March 2020. Both options are now available to users and you can switch between them. However, this will become impossible in March, leaving only the new option available.

Users of the classic version will soon receive notifications inviting them to switch to the new version of YouTube. You may need to update your browser to proceed.

Google started changing the design of YouTube in 2017, when the Material Design principles were implemented, and then continued this useful work. The final version was presented in November 2019. The new design includes many modern features, including the now fashionable dark theme and a more convenient viewing queue.
